Job summary

Geisinger in Richmond, VA seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operate imaging equipment, and ensure accurate patient positioning and proper documentation in a clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology and participate in QA/QC procedures, with opportunities to train students. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• Experience with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Operates all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.

Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
