Job summary

Geisinger in Wilkes-Barre, PA seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating equipment, and maintaining related records. The role includes patient positioning, protection, and assisting physicians with procedures, with a sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT certification within 24 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper patient positioning and exposure techniques.
• Operates and maintains all radiology equipment.
• Sets up immobilization and radiation protection devices.
• Reviews patient size, age, condition to adapt examinations.
• Assists physicians with procedures and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Maintains records and notations; participates in QA/QC.
• Participates in student education as required.

Job Summary

Sign on bonus for eligible applicants!!!! Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
