Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required).
• X-ray Tech I level; may be considered for X-ray Tech II based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper patient positioning and exposure techniques.
• Operates imaging equipment within modality and reviews patient body size, age and condition when performing exams.
• Sets up immobilization and radiation protection measures as needed.
• Assists physician with various procedures as required.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and requests adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations; participates in QA/QC procedures as needed.
• Participates in educational training of students.

Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
