Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Experience in clinical radiography and fluoroscopy preferred.
• Ability to assist physicians and maintain patient records and notes.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper positioning and exposure techniques.
• Operates imaging equipment within modality and ensures safety protocols.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment.
• Reviews patient size, thickness, and condition to determine optimal examination approach.
• Assists physicians during procedures and communicates findings as needed.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and requests repairs when needed.
• Maintains related records and notations; participates in QA/QC procedures.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
• Complies with organizational policies and procedures.

Job SummaryResponsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
