Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an X-ray Tech I to join our clinical team. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants, with potential advancement to X-ray Tech II based on skills and experience.

You will perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operate equipment, ensure proper patient positioning, and maintain related records. Opportunities include QA/QC involvement and training of students.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
• ARRT certification and BLS certification required
• State licensure eligibility as applicable

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proper patient positioning
• Operates radiology equipment and ensures image quality
• Sets up immobilization and radiation protective devices
• Assesses patient size, age and condition to determine technique
• Assists physician during procedures
• Reports equipment malfunctions and requests adjustments or repairs
• Maintains related records and notations
• Participates in QA/QC procedures and trains students

Job Summary

$20,000 Sign on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Tech I and we are seeking candidates for that position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role to include X-ray Tech II based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
