Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to ALARA guidelines. The role includes preparing medications as ordered and assisting licensed practitioners in complex procedures.

Applicants will educate students and fellow staff, support imaging quality, and work across operating rooms and other areas as needed. A sign-on bonus of $30,000 is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a radiologic technology program.
• Strong knowledge of imaging modalities and safety standards.
• Ability to educate students and junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient identity, exam prep, and proper order documentation.
• Applies imaging protocols and ALARA principles to maximize safety and care.
• Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality and verify data transfer/archival storage.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialty procedures.
• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed.
• Demonstrate commitment to departmental and organizational priorities.
• Maintain proficiency in routine and complex duties, including operating room procedures.
• Participate in modality quality or process improvement activities.
