Job summary

Indiana University Health System in Brownsburg is seeking a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist who is recent graduate to join Brownsburg Urgent Care. The role is full-time with rotating days and weekends (36 hours weekly) and will travel to Avon Urgent Care as needed.

Operates x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray and fluoroscopy equipment, explains exams, follows safety protocols, documents in EMR, and collaborates with radiologists. Benefit from a sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required.
• Active RT(R) registration or board eligibility with Radiography credential.
• Indiana ISDH license as Radiologic Technologist or ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray and fluoroscopy.
• Prepares patients by explaining exams and positioning them correctly.
• Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
• Follows radiation safety protocols.
• Documents detailed patient history in EMR.
• Stays current with continuing education.
• Monitors patients during exams for safety and comfort.
• Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

This is a full-time Diagnostic Radiology Technologist position located at Brownsburg Urgent Care rotating days and weekends - 36 hours weekly. The Technologist will travel to Avon Urgent Care when needed.

Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging. Follows radiation safety protocols. Documents detailed patient history. Stays current with continuing education. Monitors patients during exam for safety. Documents necessary information in EMR. Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
