Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield, OH is seeking a Radiology Technologist (Harmonized) to perform diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensuring safety and high-quality results. The role requires ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology and provides opportunities to work with a diverse clinical team.

You will obtain history, position patients, and support licensed practitioners with imaging procedures in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
• ARRT Certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by state)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for some locations; preferred at hire)

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab information for licensed practitioner use.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate the area of interest.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiography procedures with aseptic technique.
• Performs timeout as required by policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
