Qualifications

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R certification within 6 months.
• Progress to level 2 within 24 months if hired after a specified date.
• Strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and knowledge of radiation safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate images for quality and proper positioning.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including those outside the radiology department.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
