Qualifications

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months.
• Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, should complete steps for advancement to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, ensure patient identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities accurately.
• Evaluate images for proper positioning and quality, and ensure proper data storage and transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside of radiology departments.
