Job summary
Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under licensed practitioners. You will prepare, document, and manage medications and radiation exposure according to federal and state laws and institutional policy.
New graduates must obtain ARRT-R within 6 months of hire. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and a minimum of 1 year related experience is desirable.
Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology is required.
- ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire for new graduates.
- BLS certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures per licensed practitioner.
- Prepare and document medications and radiation exposure per laws and policy.
- Ensure correct patient identification, history, and confidentiality.
- Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers.
- Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures in various settings.
