Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic exams, ensuring high-quality images while prioritizing patient safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires an active Kansas Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT certification.

The position supports radiologists and physicians, maintains EMR/PACS documentation, and adheres to ALARA guidelines and infection control policies. This is a full-time day shift at the Pain Center.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Kansas LRT license required.
• BLS certification preferred or required by employer.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved radiography program.
• Maintain Kansas Radiologic Technologist license and renew annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by a licensed provider.
• Verify patient identity and physician orders before imaging procedures.
• Explain procedures and position patients correctly to obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Utilize appropriate radiation shielding and safety practices.
• Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when medically necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Assist radiologists and physicians with imaging procedures as needed.
• Monitor patient condition during examinations and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain imaging equipment and report malfunctions.
• Comply with infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and facility policies.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities.
