Job summary

Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Physician- Diagnostic Radiologist for a full-time role within the Phoenix VA Health Care System. The incumbent will contribute to education and training of staff and trainees, participate in department committees, and support clinical operations with 90–100% direct patient care,

Qualifications

  • Citizenship: United States; non-citizens may be appointed only when VA policy allows.
  • MD/DO degree from a US-approved medical school.
  • Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
  • Residency in an ACGME/AOA accredited core specialty leading to board eligibility.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Board certification in the specialty is preferred; fellowship training is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide broad radiology interpretation and image-guided procedures within Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Educate and train staff and trainees; participate in departmental and clinical committees.
  • Provide direct patient care 90–100% of the time.
  • Evaluate and prioritize radiology orders; report results with appropriate CPT/diagnosis codes.
  • Participate in on-call duties as per department policy.
  • May be eligible for recruitment incentives and EDRP-related benefits.
