Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified Radiologist Physician to serve at facilities in the South Central VA Health Care Network. This position requires a medical degree and full, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the US.

Responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic images, performing interventional procedures, and communicating results effectively. The role also involves participation in quality assurance and collaborative patient care with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen and have a full, unrestricted medical license.
  • Preferably Board Certified/Eligible in Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Ability to perform various imaging and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets diagnostic digital radiography, CT, MRI, and US examinations.
  • Communicates life-threatening findings immediately to referring physicians.
  • Participates in quality assurance and tumor board meetings.

Skills

Proficiency in spoken and written English
Diagnostic imaging interpretation
Interventional radiology procedures

Education

Degree in medicine from an accredited institution
Completion of residency training
