  • Weekday Overnight 12-hour shifts Monday-Thursday
Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of radiographic examinations, including difficult and complex exams, and be qualified in at least one modality other than general radiology.
  • Calculate correct exposure factors (time, distance, kVp, mAs) and control image quality through patient positioning, compression, and image production.
  • Establish technical factors for nonstandard examinations, including positioning and number of images required.
  • Maintain knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques; perform QC for assigned modalities.
  • Carry out digital radiology duties such as loading readers, pushing images to PACS, and electronic editing/annotating of images.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot cassette readers, PACS, and various radiology IT equipment.
  • Maintain records of patient workload, examinations, equipment usage, and radiation surveys; keep database records of examinations performed and technical factors used.
  • Represent the department in staff meetings to provide updates on new developments and recommend adoption of beneficial practices.
  • Plan and coordinate work operations within the radiology department; requisition supplies to meet departmental needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field and 2 years of applicable experience, or equivalent education and experience in radiology.
  • ARRT registered Radiologic Technologist with 2 years of experience post certification.
  • ARRT board certified in CT with 2 years of experience post certification.
Cognitive Requirements
  • Reading, writing, and calculating.
  • Reasoning and analysis.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision.
Language Requirements
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to employ professional verbal and written communication skills continuously and effectively.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
  • Maintain accreditation through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: complete the mandatory 24 continuing education units per biennium and pay any required fees to retain credentials as a certified radiographer, mammographer, and/or CT technologist.
