Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure image quality, and maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures.

You will support accurate documentation, participate in quality improvements, and assist with orientation of new staff and clinical rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist (RRT) license or temporary license is required.
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification is preferred at hire, and candidates not certified must obtain certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using appropriate equipment and established protocols.
• Operates and troubleshoots imaging equipment to ensure high-quality images and efficient workflow.
• Provides basic patient care and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Completes required documentation and performs departmental clerical duties.
• Protects patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality while delivering compassionate care.
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and departmental performance initiatives.
• Assists with orientation of new employees and supports students during clinical rotations.
• Maintains a safe environment by following radiation safety and infection prevention policies.
• Collaborates with Radiologists, providers, and other healthcare team members.

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
