Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, MA, seeks a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to perform routine imaging examinations on a scheduled and emergency basis, following QC and data integrity workflow expectations.

You will review requisitions, select equipment and factors, identify patients, explain the exam to patients and parents, and adhere to ALARA principles while contributing to a high reliability training culture and comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Training in Diagnostic Radiology.
• MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and evaluates requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed.
• Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.
• Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
• Explains the examination and answers questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, ALARA.
• Follows Departmental QC/Data Integrity Workflow.
• Practices High Reliability Training.

Education

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
