Job summary

University seeks a 9-month, full-time faculty member to deliver high-quality learning experiences for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography – General program. Teaching across classroom, lab, online, and clinical settings, the candidate will mentor students and contribute to program visibility.

Responsibilities include developing syllabi, coordinating assessments, and participating in departmental activities. Requires ARDMS/ARRT OB/GYN & extended abdominal certs with 5+ years radiology/sonos

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT certification in OB/GYN and extended abdominal required; others preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in radiology general sonography and OB/GYN.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience at the college/university level preferred but not essential.
• Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and interact with a wide array of parties at all levels.
• Evidence of teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver didactic, laboratory and/or experiential instruction via multiple formats (in-person, online, or blended) in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography General Program.
• Provide students with an approved syllabus that includes objectives, outcomes, and evaluation criteria.
• Provide engaging assignments that demonstrate real-world applications of concepts.
• Participate in service activities; attend School and institutional events.
• Use the University’s LMS to post syllabus and communicate with students.
• Advise and assist students through office hours or appointments via phone, email, and other approved mechanisms.
• Support student mentoring, course development, and assessment.
