Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound imaging and assist physicians in diagnosis and patient care across the rural health network. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associate degree in allied health and minimum two years’ experience in diagnostic sonography.

Certifications such as RVT/RVS/RT(VS) and BLS are required; vascular experience (2–4 years) is desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred associates degree from an accredited allied health program (CAAHEP).
• Minimum two years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• 2-4 years of experience in vascular sonography preferred.
• Licensure/certifications: RVT, RVS, or RT(VS); BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging of internal organs and tissues.
• Assist physicians with diagnosis and monitoring of conditions.
• Maintain patient care standards and safety protocols.
• Adhere to ARDMS/ARRT certifications and BLS requirements.
