Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a skilled sonographer to join our imaging team in the Sumter area. You will perform ultrasound examinations to acquire clinically useful images that aid in diagnosing and monitoring patients.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of diagnostic medical sonography experience, and active ARDMS/ARRT certifications with BLS; CPR may be required. Join a diverse, patient-centered practice within the MUSC system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Associates Degree in a two-year allied health education program accredited by CAAHEP.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer; 2-4 years in vascular sonography desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations to image internal organs and tissues.
• Assist doctors with diagnosing and monitoring conditions using ultrasound imaging.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associates degree in diagnostic medical sonography or related allied health program

Tools

ARDMS RVT/ARRT RT(VS) or equivalent
