One Physics LLC is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Physicist to support imaging centers and hospital departments in Indianapolis, IN, ensuring compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and radiation safety practices. The role involves evaluating imaging systems across modalities and providing consultation on facility design, shielding, and exposure management.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility via CAMPEP residency in diagnostic physics.
• 3+ years clinical experience in diagnostic imaging with safety procedures.
• Strong knowledge of state regulations and accrediting criteria (ACR/TJC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit compliance records for equipment registration, regulations and Radiation Protection Programs.
• Perform annual performance evaluations of radiologic imaging systems (fluoroscopy, radiography, mammography, CT).
• Oversee technologist quality control programs.
• Attend Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) and Radiation Protocol Committee (RPC) meetings.
• Advise staff on protocol management, dose assessment, and RP Program elements.
• Support shielding design, assessment of shielding, and training programs.
• Review occupational dosimetry reports and ALARA performance.
• Assess public exposure around x-ray rooms.
