Qualifications

• Legal requirement to be certified prior to probation period.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography equipment and apply proper imaging techniques.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report malfunctions.
• Schedule, start, complete, and cancel exams in RIS.
• Use RIS and PACS for daily workflow.
• Review orders for accuracy and ensure appropriate exam selection.
• Explain procedures to patients and position them appropriately.
• Provide patient care focusing on safety and error reduction.
• Perform quality control checks and alert staff to malfunctions.
• Adhere to radiation safety policies including shielding.
