Island Health in Anacortes, WA, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. You’ll perform mammography procedures, position patients, explain the process, monitor for safety, and deliver images to radiologists for interpretation.

The role requires ARRT certification, mammography training, MQSA knowledge, BLS, and ongoing radiology CEUs; strong patient interaction and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Formal radiologic technology training from an AMA approved school and ARRT registry/certification.
• Successful completion of mammography training course.
• Understanding of MQSA standards.
• Current ARRT and Washington State certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
• Up-to-date Radiology CEUs as required by MQSA and ARRT.

Responsabilités

• Performing mammography procedures.
• Greets patients and explains procedures.
• Positioning patient and selecting radiographic parameters.
• Observe patient for vital signs during procedure and ensure safety.
• Develop and examine radiologic images for quality and diagnostic acceptability.
• Deliver images to radiologist for reading/interpretation.
• Release patient upon examination completion.
• Evaluate equipment and supply needs; participate in maintenance and QA.
• Contribute to quality assurance and growth of imaging programs.
• Interact positively with administration, staff, patients and visitors.
