Fairview is looking for a Diagnostic Laboratory Technologist (DLT) at M Health Fairview Clinic - Elk River, M Health Fairview Clinic - Rogers, M Health Fairview Clinic - Andover. Primary hours vary, typically between 10:00am-6:30pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00am-5:30pm Friday. Most shifts outside these hours start between 6:30am and 12:00pm if needed. The position includes one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) at our M Health Andover Urgent Care site, averaging every 5th weekend. Schedule may change to meet staffing needs, including floating to nearby clinics and adjusting start times.
The DLT plays a vital role in providing quality, proficient, and professional laboratory services to diverse populations within an ambulatory healthcare environment. The Diagnostic Laboratory Technician performs waived or moderate complexity testing, correlates data-based knowledge of technical and instrumental conditions affecting testing results, and performs quality control procedures within established parameters.
This position also involves preparing or procuring specimens for high complexity and research testing, ensuring efficient workflow, and possibly scheduling tests and providing results as appropriate. The DLT works independently under general supervision.
Job Expectations: Follow established guidelines to obtain specimens, perform testing, and report results. Consistently implement and adhere to laboratory customer service standards, promoting teamwork, effective communication, and conflict resolution. Support and adhere to laboratory SOPs, quality assurance, performance improvement, and compliance programs, recognizing trends and knowing when additional reporting, communication, or action is necessary. Demonstrate competency and compliance with all regulatory agency policies. Other duties as assigned.
