Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist for a full-time, 72-hour per pay period role on the 2nd shift. The position requires radiology training and ARRT certification or eligibility, with BLS within 6 months of hire.

The role covers patient-ready radiology procedures across departments and includes duties in documentation and patient safety. The candidate should have an accredited radiology program, be able to work independently, and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Minimum of one of the following: Certificate of Completion of a Hospital based program or Associate's degree from an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Registered ARRT required or registry eligible; registry eligible technologist must receive registry within 6 months of hire.
• BLS training must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Must operate basic computer programs used for record keeping in the department.
• Must demonstrate excellent human relation skills to interact with patients, providers and others in sensitive situations.
• Customer service orientation and able to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of various anatomical parts and systems as ordered.
• Assist providers with procedures and patient care during examinations.
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices as needed to obtain optimal results.
• Operate diagnostic radiographic equipment and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Maintain sterile technique and clean procedure rooms and equipment.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain records.
