Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures in an accurate, timely, and patient-centered manner. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of radiology equipment while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards. The technologist serves a diverse customer base, including patients, medical staff, employees, and regulatory agencies, with a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and hospital information in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including incident reporting protocols.
- Perform CT examinations as ordered by referring physicians, adhering to established clinical standards.
- Apply appropriate radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff, and self.
- Participate in Radiology Management System workflows related to patient imaging procedures.
- Provide clear patient education and instructions before, during, and after CT procedures.
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians and radiologists to ensure efficient and accurate imaging services.
- Deliver professional, courteous service in alignment with the Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology Department’s service standards.
- Follow accepted clinical principles, methods, and best practices while performing CT procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology

- New York State Radiologic Technologist License (NYS Department of Health)
- ARRT (R) Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
- NYS Injection Certification
