Base pay range

$65.40/hr - $67.40/hr

The CT Technologist is responsible for coordinating and producing high-quality computerized tomography (CT) studies and assisting in CT-guided procedures. This role requires critical‑thinking skills, knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, venipuncture, and safe medication administration for contrast media and adjunct medications. The technologist will operate sophisticated imaging and ancillary equipment to produce quality CT procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality CT examinations for review by the interpreting physician.
  • Coordinate CT examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
  • Protocol examinations based on established guidelines and clinical history.
  • Perform venipuncture and medication administration with a focus on safety and effectiveness.
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Assess patients prior to studies to ensure safety and cooperation.
  • Educate patients and address concerns/questions before executing CT exams.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) for transmitting, archiving, and retrieving digital images.
Education
  • Successful graduation from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences.
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Certification & Licensure
  • ARRT – Radiography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Upon Hire)
  • ARRT – CT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Upon Hire)
  • CRT – Certified Radiologic Technologist (Upon Hire)
  • IV Certification (Upon Hire)
  • BLS – Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Upon Hire)
  • RHF – Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire
Preferred Experience

Previous experience in an acute care facility is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and technical factors.
  • Proficiency with multiple computerized systems.
  • Proficiency in using PACS for digital image management.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
