Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology (Allied Health).
• ARRT RT (R) registry required; ODH licensure required.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: 1 year of medical/patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages.
• Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the radiographic procedure.
• Implements screening and safety measures per policies; performs daily/weekly QC.
• Prepares and administers contrast media to patients per policy; practices sterile technique.
• Assists Radiologist in special procedures and in emergencies.
• Coordinates patient care with other areas to optimize time and satisfaction.
• Educates patients about procedures and related information as needed.
• Maintains records, files and reports; verifies orders and aligns with billed procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of emergency equipment locations in the unit.
• Follows radiation safety policies and procedures.
