Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd, MN is seeking a skilled radiology administrator to lead the 4005030 RADIOLOGY ADMINISTRATION – SJMC. This 162-bed hospital/Level III Trauma Center serves Brainerd and surrounding areas with a full range of imaging services.

The role focuses on daily operations, staff supervision, and strategic planning to meet department objectives. Required ARRT/ARDMS/NMTCB certifications, with mammography ARRT if applicable, and ND license if working in ND.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT or ARDMS or NMTCB. Must also have current mammography certification through ARRT where applicable and ARDMS in ultrasound.
• If North Dakota, license on the ND MIRT board upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day operations, planning and improvement oversight.
• Direct supervision: hiring, coaching, discipline, training and work assignments.
• Plan and schedule work; contribute to departmental goals and policy revisions.
• Ensure work quality and alignment with established standards.

In this role you will get too:

Responsible for day-to-day operations, planning and operational improvement oversight. Primary focus on job completion of tasks and assisting staff with complex problems. Provides direct supervision including hiring, coaching, and discipline, training, and work assignments for the assigned section or department. Plans and schedules work for the section or department. Makes recommendation in strategic planning; Assists in determining departmental goals and objectives. Provides direction for staff using established policies and procedures and input into policy and procedure revisions. Work is reviewed for overall quality and adequacy in meeting established standards and in defining objectives for function or area.

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Nuclear Medicine Review Board (NMTCB). Must also have current mammography certification through ARRT upon hire/transfer (if in mammography department only) and ARDMS (if in ultrasound department only).

If North Dakota, must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire.
