Job summary

Inova Mt. Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist to join our radiology team. This full-time role runs Tuesday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT licensure, CT certification within one year, BLS, and at least one year of imaging experience across multiple modalities, with a commitment to safety and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate radiography program completion.
• ARRT registered radiologic technologist with CT certification within 12 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of start.
• Minimum of one year imaging experience in a hospital/healthcare setting; two or more modalities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate imaging principles, anatomy, and pathology with appropriate technique for quality exams.
• Communicate with patients to obtain history and consent to optimize examinations.
• Apply radiation protection and shielding; monitor for safety as per protocols.
• Maintain a clean, stocked exam environment and prepare rooms for procedures.
• Perform and document routine QC and maintenance to ensure image quality.
