Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of accredited school/program of radiography.
• Licensure: ARRT registered as Radiologic Technologist; CT certification within 1 year.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association within 3 months.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of imaging experience in hospital setting; proficient in 2+ modalities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of imaging principles, anatomy, and pathology; uses appropriate techniques for optimal exams.
• Communicates with patients to obtain history and informed consent to assist physicians.
• Applies radiation protection procedures and shielding; monitors exposure.
• Maintains orderly, safe, clean exam rooms and ensures supplies.
• Performs and documents routine QC testing and maintenance of imagers/processors.
