Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a part-time Diagnostic Imaging Assistant for evening hours (3pm-10:30pm). The role supports patients, retrieves and inputs digital images into EMS, and manages related software with interactions across departments and staff.

Strong clerical and customer service skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include an associate's degree in the medical field or Providence Internship, plus experience with medical terminology and EMR

• 1 year of clerical or customer service experience.
• Associate's degree in medical field or 1 year medical/clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnostic Imaging Assistant at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon

Part-Time/Evening Shift - Monday - Friday from 3pm-10:30pm

The Specialist-Diagnostic Imaging Support assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS). The Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist is responsible for all applicable software, and interacts with many departments, office staff, physicians and patients. The position requires extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Basic medical terminology course, or completed within 6 months of hire.

• 1 year of Clerical or Customer Service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree In the medical field or 1 year of medical and/or clerical experience, or

• A successful completion of a Providence Internship.

• Coursework/Training: College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy or knowledge obtained through work experience.

• Diagnostic Imaging experience.

• Electronic Medical Records System experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $29.08
