Job summary

Beloit Memorial Hospital Education is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Diabetes Education Coordinator to join our team in Beloit, WI. This role provides leadership for the diabetes education program, coordinates staff, and ensures adherence to ADA recognition and DSMES standards.

Responsibilities include liaison work with the diabetes education advisory committee, orientation for new personnel, in-service education, program evaluation, and data-driven care planning for patients with

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred.
WI nursing licensure required (within 30 days) and IL licensure as duties require.
CDCES certification preferred at time of hire.
Minimum of 3–5 years' recent clinical experience preferred.
BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between the diabetes education advisory committee and facility administration.
Plan and participate in orientation sessions for new diabetes education personnel.
Provide and/or coordinate in-service education for diabetes personnel.
Design and evaluate the content and effectiveness of the diabetes education program.
Coordinate ongoing review of program resources and supervise staff.
