Job summary

1810 Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join the Endocrinology team. The role focuses on diabetes care across type 1, type 2, prediabetes, and gestational diabetes, with collaboration from two other CDEs and the endocrinology team.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietitian with a CDE credential, hands-on insulin pump and CGM experience, and a passion for education, clinical guidance, and ongoing support to empower patients toward

Qualifications

RD required with CDE certification
Hands-on insulin pump therapy and CGM experience preferred
Experience in diabetes education, counseling, or related role (2-3 years)
Excellent communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

Assess educational needs and readiness of patients to learn about diabetes management.
Develop individualized education plans for diabetes self-management, including medication management, nutrition, activity, and glucose monitoring.
Facilitate group diabetes education classes and support programs.
Create patient education materials and resources to enhance understanding and engagement.
Provide ongoing counseling to patients and families addressing emotional aspects of living with diabetes.
Encourage adherence to treatment plans and empower patient participation in care.
