Job summary

Diverse Facility Solutions is seeking a Floor Tech for the Dallas area at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport location. The role involves custodial duties, minor maintenance, and ensuring a healthy, safe and sanitary environment.

You will perform carpet extraction, hard floor care, maintain closets and equipment, follow safety procedures and work with minimal supervision or as part of a team on a full-time 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete tasks as assigned.
• Knowledge of general housekeeping methods and cleaning products.
• Willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties and minor maintenance to keep facilities clean and safe.
• Carpet extraction, encapsulation, hard floor stripping and waxing, polishing and scrubbing.
• Maintain janitor closets and janitorial equipment in a clean, safe condition.
• Label, dilute and use chemicals properly; wear PPE as required.
• Report damages and perform other custodial duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Floor Tech is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Perform Projects as instructed by DFS management, including but not limited to;
• Carpet Extraction, Encapsulation, and spotting
• Hard floor stripping, waxing, burnishing, polishing and scrubbing
• Facility periodic detailing duties as assigned
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs and any damages
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times
• Perform other custodial duties as assigned

• The Floor Tech reports to the Custodial Supervisor and cares for the Main building/facilities and equipment. Maintaining these responsibilities will help to ensure the health, safety and security of the public.

Physical Demands

The Floor Tech position is a physically demanding position. The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, lifting heavy objects.
