Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. is seeking a finance professional to support monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, and planning processes within a manufacturing-centric environment. You will work with SAP, Hyperion, and Epicor, delivering analyses and explanations to senior management.

The role requires strong presentation and analytical skills, a BS in finance or accounting, and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Collaboration with IT, Finance, and internal auditors is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of analytical finance/accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; capable of interacting with all management levels.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure monthly alignment between ERP systems (SAP / Epicor).
  • Prepare monthly close general ledger entries and cash flow adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with annual operating and capital plans and load into SmartView.
  • Prepare plan and forecast variance explanations.
  • Prepare financial analyses of manufacturing variances and present to Controller.
  • Collaborate with internal auditors to ensure efficient SOX compliance.

Job description

How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
  • Ensure monthly alignment between multiple ERP systems (SAP /Epicor)
  • Prepare monthly close general ledger entries and cash flowadjustments
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with annual operating and capital plans and load intoSmartView
  • Prepare plan and forecast variance explanations
  • Aid in preparing presentations to senior managementregarding financial and strategic activities for the company
  • Prepare financial analyses of all manufacturing variancesand present to Controller Assist with monthly forecast and load into SmartView
  • Team with Delta’s internal auditors, as necessary, to ensurean efficient and effective audit process, including compliance withSarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Maintain a solid understanding of assigned business areasand related strategic objectives, reporting requirements and financial needs
  • Cash forecasting
  • This position requires effective communication across theDFP organization and with Delta’s Finance, IT and Technical organization.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of assigned business areasand related strategic objectives, reporting requirements and financial needs.
  • Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operationalprocesses and procedures
  • Other adhoc support and analysis as needed
  • Identify and resolve Epicor issues, including assisting increating and setting policies and controls
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, andpersonal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in theUnited States.
  • Bachelor’s degree infinance or accounting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 yearsof recent analytical finance and / or accounting experience.
  • Must havedemonstrable financial acumen, preferably involving experience in anorganization with engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Strong presentationsskills, both written and oral required.
  • Candidate mustpossess robust analytical skills and excellent organizational skills. Thecandidate must also be a team player with the capacity to deliver results andbe able to successfully interact with all levels of management.
  • Must possessadvanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointrequired.
  • Must have a working knowledgeof SAP, Hyperion and Epicor.
