Job summary

Tulip Interfaces is seeking a senior developer-experience engineer to design and operate an internal agentic AI platform for engineers. You will shape tooling, plugins, MCP servers, and integrations across our stack, enabling reliable AI-enabled workflows.

Key responsibilities include architecture for evaluation and deployment, onboarding improvements, and cross-team collaboration to advance internal AI capabilities with a focus on safety and scalable tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally focused on developer tooling
• Meaningful hands-on experience building with AI/LLMs and shipping agentic solutions
• Proven ability to build internal tools that make AI capabilities accessible to engineers
• Natural collaborator who earns trust with engineers quickly
• Strong full-stack proficiency (TypeScript) and familiarity with API design
• Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, RAG, tool-use patterns
• Production experience with AWS, CI/CD, and AI safety considerations
• Experience with developer experience fundamentals: reducing friction and treating tooling as a product

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to identify high-leverage AI opportunities in the developer workflow
• Build and maintain the internal agentic AI platform (skills, plugins, MCP servers, integrations)
• Own foundational architecture for evaluating, deploying, and securing tool access
• Improve onboarding, documentation, and discovery layer for engineers
• Stay current on agentic AI and developer-tooling trends
• Contribute to internal AI enablement programs and change management
• Measure adoption and impact of internal AI tooling
