Job summary

Leidos seeks a DevSecOps Security Engineer to join the Air Traffic Business Area within Homeland Sector, accelerating the Leidos Common Automation Platform (L-CAP) in a hybrid cloud data mesh. You will build automated security controls in the delivery pipeline, raise security posture, and produce evidence for authorization in a SAFe/Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant security engineering experience.
• Hands-on with integrating SAST/DAST and container scanning into CI/CD.
• Experience securing Kubernetes and container environments.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and CVE tracking.
• Experience with secrets management and security automation (Python/Bash/Go).

Responsibilities

• Build and operate automated security controls in delivery pipelines.
• Enforce gates, artifact signing, SBOMs for deployments.
• Remediate container vulnerabilities and harden images.
• Implement Kubernetes security controls and network policies.
• Secure workloads with secrets management and mTLS.
• Develop policy-as-code and guardrails using OPA/Kyverno.
• Provide security evidence for authorization and monitoring.
• Collaborate with teams to triage findings and support incident response.
• Leverage AI-assisted development to improve security and delivery speed.
