DevSecOps Product Owner: AWS, CI/CD & Agile Lead

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Lead for the DevSecOps and SysAdmin team to support a primary US Government program. You will oversee an Agile scrum team of 5-10 contributors and build the platform's current and future vision for resiliency and flexibility.

You will drive Agile cadence, write feature acceptance criteria, monitor progress, and troubleshoot, presenting to the customer at the appropriate technical level. Responsibilities include CI/CD pipelines, AWS deployment, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with an active TS/SCI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology fields or 5 years of professional experience
• IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CISSP, or CASP)
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Ansible, and/or Helm
• Experience navigating Linux systems
• Experience deploying in AWS environment
• Familiarity with government requirements for DevSecOps and regulations for code deployments
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with software programs in operations
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with virtual teams
• Professional experience in radar or electro-optical fields
• Experience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality
• Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
• Desire to learn new technologies
• Ability to work onsite in Ypsilanti, Michigan, or Chantilly, Virginia
• Up to 10% travel required

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevSecOps and SysAdmin team supporting a primary US Government program
• Oversee an Agile scrum team of 5-10 contributors
• Build the current and future vision for the platform, identifying opportunities for resiliency and flexibility
• Drive the Agile cadence, including writing feature acceptance criteria and descriptions, monitoring progress, and troubleshooting
• Present to the customer at the appropriate technical level
• Contribute to comprehensive CI/CD pipelines with seamless automation and reduced build times
• Deploy and troubleshoot in cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Communicate across organizations and collaborate effectively within a small team
• Mentor junior developers and foster professional growth
• Design organizational and programmatic best practices for CI/CD and automated testing
• Advance large software development packages by independently completing assigned tasks
