Job summary

Elevance Health in the United States seeks a DevSecOps Engineer - Information Security to design and implement secure SDLC and CI/CD security across cloud-native environments. You will drive vulnerability management, threat modeling, and scalable security controls with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and CNAPP platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS/BA in information Technology or related field and a minimum of 8 years experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, access management and network security technologies, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, data, and people.
• Experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, secure SDLC, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement secure SDLC practices, including automated testing, threat modeling, and secure coding standards.
• Drive vulnerability management strategy, including risk-based prioritization and integration into developer workflows.
• Lead development and execution of risk assessment methodologies to fit business, regulatory, and technical environment considerations.
• Lead the development of requirements, system architecture, and software design of security products and services.
• Lead system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies.
• Serve as a technical advisor and escalation point for complex security and integration challenges.
• Develop security incident response plans and strategies.
• Embed security controls into AI-enabled applications and APIs, addressing emerging risks.
