Job summary

E&M Technologies, Inc. seeks a DevSecOps Engineer to join our Alexandria, VA team, supporting the Defense Resources and Infrastructure Office. Role emphasizes secure, scalable cloud pipelines and platform automation for government systems.

You will design and maintain databases, implement CI/CD automation, and collaborate with platform teams to convert concepts into reusable templates across database technologies, ensuring robust security and continuous delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8+ years in DevSecOps, or 12+ years in lieu of degree.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or GitHub Actions).
• Experience deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP with IaC (Terraform/CF/CDK).
• Containerizing workloads with Docker and orchestrating with Kubernetes.
• Integrating automated security checks into CI/CD (SAST/SCA).
• Linux admin skills and scripting (Python/Bash/Go).
• Git-based branching and release workflows.
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, load balancing).
• Cloud security certifications and Security+.

Responsibilities

• Bridge database engineering, API development, DevSecOps automation, and secure platform architecture.
• Turn new concepts into MVPs and reusable templates for multiple databases.
• Design, tune, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, Oracle, MongoDB, AWS RDS).
• Support database migration, backup, replication, disaster recovery, and PITR.
• Support secure software delivery per DoD, RMF, ICD-503, NIST SP 800-53, STIG, and continuous monitoring.
