Job summary

Zaden Technologies seeks a DevSecOps Engineer (Azure/AI) to support secure cloud architecture and AI-enabled services for defense programs. This onsite role at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL requires leadership in Azure, AKS, Terraform, and secure AI deployments.

The candidate will implement IL4/IL5 landing zones, integrate Entra ID and Keycloak, and ensure compliance with NIST 800-171. Strong DoD-facing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with security clearance (secret or higher).
• 5+ years in DevSecOps or cloud engineering with Azure focus.
• Hands-on with AKS, Terraform, and policy-based automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter capable of independent work and driving initiatives.
• Experience administering and securing Linux systems.
• Solid networking and cloud security architecture knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design IL4/IL5-compliant Azure landing zones with networking, identity, and logging.
• Manage AKS clusters using GitOps with FluxCD and Helm.
• Create Terraform modules for Azure infrastructure automation.
• Integrate Entra ID and Keycloak for access management.
• Deploy AI workloads using Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services securely.
• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-171 and DoD SRG IL4/IL5.
• Provide technical leadership on Azure DevSecOps best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for scalable cloud solutions.

Zaden Technologies seeks a DevSecOps Engineer (Azure/AI) to support secure cloud architecture and AI-enabled services within our defense programs. This engineer will serve as the team's Azure subject matter expert, responsible for IL4/IL5 landing zones and compliant managed service adoption. This position is located onsite at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and implement IL4/IL5-compliant Azure landing zones with comprehensive networking, identity, and logging configurations
• Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters using GitOps principles with FluxCD and Helm
• Author and maintain Terraform modules for Azure infrastructure automation
• Integrate Entra ID and Keycloak for secure access management and authentication
• Implement AI workloads including Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services within secure boundaries
• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-171 for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Cloud SRG IL4/IL5 requirements
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on Azure best practices and DevSecOps methodologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship and a security clearance (secret or above)
• 5+ years of DevSecOps or Cloud engineering experience with Azure focus
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Terraform, and policy-based automation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and drive initiatives
• Comfortable administering and securing Linux systems
• Solid understanding of networking principles and cloud security architectures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience deploying workloads at DoD IL4/IL5 impact levels
• Hands-on experience with RHEL and RHEL-based Linux distributions
• Familiarity with Windows Server administration and automation
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) or AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, or other AI/ML platforms
• Knowledge of GitOps workflows and tools (FluxCD, ArgoCD)
• Experience with identity and access management solutions (Entra ID, Keycloak)
• Understanding of DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG)

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 110,000 USD per year (Huntsville, AL (L2 Base))

110,000 - 150,000 USD per year (Huntsville, AL (L3 Senior))
