Soft Tech Consulting, Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to maintain client cloud stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, React, Node.js, Nginx) on Linux containers in ECS and to support IaC with CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines. Must have an active Top Secret clearance and be US citizen.

Role is 100% onsite in Washington, DC with no third party vendors; compensation varies with skills and certifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• Active Top Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Experience building and supporting container apps on Linux.
• Proficient with CI/CD tooling and IaC in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client cloud stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, React, Node.js, Nginx) in Linux containers on ECS.
• Support IaC using AWS CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Manage PKI certs, REST/SOAP API integration, and container security remediations.

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a DevSecOps Engineer, who will maintain multiple client-managed cloud application stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, React, Node.js, Nginx, etc.) running as Linux containers on Amazon ECS clusters and support the IaC (AWS Cloudformation) and functional CI/CD Gitlab runner pipelines. Should have a foundational multi-tier architectural knowledge, deployment, and maintenance, and a have foundational knowledge of AWS cloud engineering. This role requires experience in building and supporting container applications running Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Drupal, and Node.js, supporting the remediation of security vulnerabilities, supporting and managing PKI certs, and basic REST and SOAP API integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IaC using Cloudformation (Intermediate proficiency level)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Should have a foundational multi-tier architectural knowledge, deployment, and maintenance, and a have foundational knowledge of AWS cloud engineering.
• Requires experience in building and supporting container applications running Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Drupal, and Node.js, supporting the remediation of security vulnerabilities, supporting and managing PKI certs, and basic REST and SOAP API integration experience.
• AWS Cloud engineering skills with ECS and/or EKS experience (Advanced proficiency level)
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools (Advanced proficiency level)
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate and PKI management (Advanced proficiency level)
• AI Code Assist (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Tomcat, Drupal, Nginx, Node.js administration and deployment (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Git (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Linux (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Ability to read application and system logs and perform basic troubleshooting (Intermediate proficiency level)
• REST and SOAP API Integration experience (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Basic scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL (Beginner proficiency level)
• Container vulnerability and security remediations (Beginner proficiency level)
• AWS Cloud Operations (Advanced)
• Infrastructure AS Code (IaC) (Advanced)
