Overview
DevSecOps Engineer with extensive experience across CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, TDD, architecture, and containerized deployments in both on-premises and cloud environments. Responsibilities include facilitating software development, guiding teams through DevSecOps pipelines, and deploying microservices in hardened containers.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates the development of new software solutions and transitions from monolithic structures to microservice architectures operating within hardened containers.
- Work with application development teams to refactor or create solutions that leverage the DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline and tools. Instructs/guides teams through their solution development.
- Deploys and sustains a microservices factory utilizing COTS and open‑source solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5)+ years of Agile experience.
- Five (5)+ years of relevant experience in all areas listed below.
- Driving strategy and overseeing architecture of CI/CD and monitoring across technologies.
- Demonstrated experience with defining Scrum Agile methodology for large‑scale clients.
- Demonstrated experience in leading DevSecOps methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with implementing Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with driving automated software development lifecycle toolchain.
- Demonstrated experience with deployments in both on‑premise and cloud environments.
- Experience serving as the engineer of complex technology implementations in a product‑centric environment.
- Experience with DevSecOps services using IaaS providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCE, Rackspace/OpenStack).
- Experience using scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., TFS, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, LVM).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., AKS, Docker, OpenShift, Rancher).
- Experience with the following technologies: Kubernetes, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Jira, GitHub, SonarQube, Fortify, Nexus, Falco, Anchore, OpenSCAP, Ansible, Terraform, Helm.
Certifications
- Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure SA).
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (Security+).
Education
Clearance
- Must possess IT-II / Tier 3 Secret clearance
Scope & Environment
- Locations: National Capitol Region (remote with periodic on‑site support at Fort Belvoir, driving distance from NCR).
- Work schedule: Day shift Monday – Friday; evenings/weekends may be required to meet program needs.
- Travel: Less than 10%.
- Work environment: Remote with periodic meetings; moderate noise level.
