Job summary

Azusa Solutions is seeking a mid-level DevSecOps Engineer to join our team of consultants. You will maintain client-managed cloud stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, Nginx, Node.js) on Linux containers in AWS ECS clusters and support IaC (CloudFormation) and CI/CD GitLab runner pipelines.

Should have foundational multi-tier architectural knowledge, deployment, and maintenance, and a basic AWS cloud engineering background.

Job description

Azusa Solutions is seeking an DevSecOps Engineer to join our team of talented consultants. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company comprised of highly qualified, highly impactful, and multi-talented individuals. We are seeking a mid-level DevSecOps Engineer who will maintain multiple client‑managed cloud application stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, React, Node.js, Nginx, etc.) running as Linux containers on Amazon ECS clusters and support the IaC (AWS Cloudformation) and functional CI/CD Gitlab runner pipelines. Should have foundational multi‑tier architectural knowledge, deployment, and maintenance, and a have foundational knowledge of AWS cloud engineering. This role requires experience in building and supporting container applications running Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Drupal, and Node.js, supporting the remediation of security vulnerabilities, supporting and managing PKI certs, and basic REST and SOAP API integration.

Eligibility

Candidate must hold an active Top Secret Clearance.

Candidate must be local to the DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia area.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• AWS Cloud engineering skills with ECS and/or EKS experience (Advanced proficiency level)
• Build and maintain Linux-based Docker Containers (Advanced proficiency level)
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools (Advanced proficiency level)
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate and PKI management (Advanced proficiency level)
• AI Code Assist (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Developing and maintaining IaC using Cloudformation (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Tomcat, Drupal, Nginx, Node.js administration and deployment (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Git (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Linux (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Ability to read application and system logs and perform basic troubleshooting (Intermediate proficiency level)
• REST and SOAP API Integration experience (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Basic scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL (Beginner proficiency level)
