Job summary

Soft Tech Consulting, Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to maintain client-managed cloud stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, React, Node.js, Nginx) running as Linux containers on AWS ECS, support IaC with CloudFormation, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

The role requires US citizenship with an active Top Secret clearance and will be 100% onsite in Washington, DC. Candidates should have experience securing container apps, PKI management, REST/SOAP integration, and strong log analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Foundational multi-tier architecture knowledge, deployment, and maintenance with AWS cloud engineering
• Experience building and supporting container apps (Tomcat, Nginx, Drupal, Node.js) and remediation of security vulnerabilities
• AWS Cloud engineering with ECS/EKS experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• SSL/TLS certificate and PKI management experience
• Basic scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Linux administration
• Reading logs and basic troubleshooting
• REST and SOAP API integration
• IaC (CloudFormation)
• Container security remediations
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a DevSecOps Engineer, who will maintain multiple client-managed cloud application stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, React, Node.js, Nginx, etc.) running as Linux containers on Amazon ECS clusters and support the IaC (AWS Cloudformation) and functional CI/CD Gitlab runner pipelines. Should have a foundational multi-tier architectural knowledge, deployment, and maintenance, and a have foundational knowledge of AWS cloud engineering. • Experience with SSL/TLS certificate and PKI management (Advanced proficiency level)
• AI Code Assist (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Tomcat, Drupal, Nginx, Node.js administration and deployment (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Git (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Linux (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Ability to read application and system logs and perform basic troubleshooting (Intermediate proficiency level)
