Job summary

Soft Tech Consulting, Inc. seeks a DevSecOps Engineer to manage client cloud stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, React, Node.js) on Linux containers in AWS ECS, with IaC via CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities include secure deployments and PKI management, plus vulnerability remediation. The ideal candidate has AWS/ECS expertise, CI/CD tooling experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Foundational multi-tier architecture and AWS cloud engineering knowledge.
• Experience building and supporting container apps (Tomcat, Nginx, Drupal, Node.js) and remediating security issues.
• AWS Cloud engineering with ECS/EKS experience; strong CI/CD tooling experience.
• Experience with SSL/TLS, PKI management, and REST/SOAP API integration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Scripting in Bash or Python; basic SQL and logs analysis.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a DevSecOps Engineer, who will maintain multiple client-managed cloud application stacks (Tomcat, Drupal, React, Node.js, Nginx, etc.) running as Linux containers on Amazon ECS clusters and support the IaC (AWS Cloudformation) and functional CI/CD Gitlab runner pipelines. Should have a foundational multi-tier architectural knowledge, deployment, and maintenance, and a have foundational knowledge of AWS cloud engineering. This role requires experience in building and supporting container applications running Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Drupal, and Node.js, supporting the remediation of security vulnerabilities, supporting and managing PKI certs, and basic REST and SOAP API integration experience.

• AWS Cloud engineering skills with ECS and/or EKS experience (Advanced proficiency level)
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools (Advanced proficiency level)
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate and PKI management (Advanced proficiency level)
• AI Code Assist (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Tomcat, Drupal, Nginx, Node.js administration and deployment (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Git (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Linux (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Ability to read application and system logs and perform basic troubleshooting (Intermediate proficiency level)
• REST and SOAP API Integration experience (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Basic scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell (Intermediate proficiency level)
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL (Beginner proficiency level)
