Job summary

CSS Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to deploy and manage scalable cloud-based infrastructure in a government-contract environment in the USA.

The role emphasizes secure DevOps practices, automation, and collaboration with development, IT operations, and IT security teams. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in CS or engineering and at least seven years of relevant experience, with hands-on expertise in configuration management, Linux, and Azure Cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Documented experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt).
• Documented experience with containerization technologies (LXC, Docker, Rocket).
• Proficiency with Linux systems and Azure Cloud environments.
• Prior experience with on-site government agency support preferred.
• Ability to pass a National Agency Check (NACI) and maintain it throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Deploys and configures services using infrastructure as a service provider (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack).


• Configures and manages Linux-based servers.


• Debugs cluster-based computing architectures using scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.


• Installation and management of open-source monitoring tools.


• Develops architecture for continuous integration, deployment, and continuous monitoring.


• Integrates security considerations into the software development process.


• Works closely with developers, IT operations, and IT security to ensure security is considered at all stages of the development life cycle.


• May lead teams and working groups that assess needs and develop solutions that satisfy functional requirements.


• May oversee or mentor junior engineers and team members.
