Job summary

CSS Inc. is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to deploy and manage scalable infrastructure across cloud providers, focusing on automation, reliability, and security.

You will configure Linux servers, containerize applications, and design monitoring and logging pipelines to support high-availability services. You will work with developers, IT operations, and IT security to embed security into the SDLC, drive CI/CD, mentor junior engineers, and assist with government deployments requiring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt).
• Experience with containerization technologies (LXC, Docker, Rocket).
• Proficiency with Linux systems and Azure Cloud environments.
• Experience supporting government agency sites is preferred.
• Ability to pass a National Agency Check (NACI) and maintain it.

• Deploys and configures services using infrastructure as a service provider (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack).


• Configures and manages Linux-based servers.


• Debugs cluster-based computing architectures using scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.


• Installation and management of open-source monitoring tools.


• Develops architecture for continuous integration, deployment, and continuous monitoring.


• Integrates security considerations into the software development process.


• Works closely with developers, IT operations, and IT security to ensure security is considered at all stages of the development life cycle.


• May lead teams and working groups that assess needs and develop solutions that satisfy functional requirements.


• May oversee or mentor junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field


• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.


• Documented experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt).


• Documented experience with containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket).


• Proficiency with Linux systems and Azure Cloud environments.


• Prior experience with on-site government agency support preferred


• Ability to pass a National Agency Check (NACI) and maintain it throughout the duration of employment.
