Job summary

Dark Wolf is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps SME / ISSE to join a collaborative, fast-paced mission environment. This hybrid role can be supported at Herndon, VA or Colorado Springs, CO, working with customer teams and satellite developers.

You will apply information security principles, automate risk assessments, and strengthen cloud/container security using tools like ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, and zero-trust architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT security or DevSecOps engineering.
• Secure software development with automation and REST API interactions.
• Experience with customer-facing security posture improvements.
• Experience documenting security configurations for modern cloud environments.
• Experience obtaining security authorization from customer personnel.
• Strong Kubernetes administration knowledge and containerization (Docker).
• Understanding of cloud supply-chain vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
• IAT Level 2 certification and related credentials.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Cyber Security; US Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate IT designs, containerized apps, and cloud architectures for security.
• Perform vulnerability assessments using SonarQube, Snyk, NeuVector, and OWASP ZAP.
• Review software install requests and conduct risk assessments in Kubernetes clusters.
• Coordinate security actions and report status using GitOps tools like ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD.
• Maintain DISA STIGs via automated Ansible playbooks and hardened Dockerfiles.
• Analyze auditing requirements and monitor logging with Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Tempo.
• Enforce zero-trust networks in containerized environments using Istio or similar service mesh.
